Call-out€150–€350Repair work, if needed beyond the call-out, is priced separately once we've seen the damage.

What to do while you wait

  • If it's safe to do so, place a bucket or container under the leak and move anything valuable out of the way
  • Avoid going into the attic in the dark or in high wind
  • Take photos of the damage and any ceiling staining for an insurance claim
  • If water is near electrics or light fittings, switch off that circuit at the fuse board

What we do on the call-out

We assess what's causing the leak, make it safe, and carry out a temporary or permanent fix depending on the damage and the weather. We'll explain what we found and what, if anything, needs following up.

After the storm passes

Check Met Éireann's current weather warnings before arranging any roof work in high winds — we won't put anyone on a roof in genuinely dangerous conditions, for your safety and ours.

More about emergency call-outs

How fast can you get to me?

We aim for same or next-day in most of Cork during active leaks, depending on weather and how many call-outs are already booked during a storm.

Will you come out in a storm warning?

We prioritise safety. In a red or orange weather warning, we may need to wait until conditions ease before going on the roof, but we can still advise by phone and arrange the first safe slot.

Is the call-out fee separate from the repair?

Yes. The call-out typically covers us coming out and assessing the problem. Any repair work beyond that is priced separately and agreed with you first.

What counts as an emergency?

Active water coming into the house, a slate or tile that has come off and is at risk of falling, or storm damage you've just discovered. If in doubt, request a callback and describe what you're seeing.

Common questions

Do you work weekends?

We take calls during business hours and may return calls outside them, up to 9pm, especially during storm season.

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

We can give a realistic range, but a firm price needs us to see the damage first.

Will a temporary fix hold until a full repair?

A temporary fix is designed to stop water getting in; we'll tell you if and when a permanent repair is needed.
